Our story
Neighbors caring for neighbors.
For over 32 years, Eastside Mission has stood with the people of Flint through every season — the hard ones and the hopeful ones.
Why we're here
Eastside Mission exists because the east side of Flint matters. Our neighborhood has weathered plant closures, a water crisis, and the slow grind of disinvestment — and through it all, ordinary people have kept showing up for each other. We're part of that tradition. We don't do charity. We do relationship. Every meal served, every interaction with Jesus, every conversation at the door is a small act of insisting that this community is worth fighting for. Jesus said in Matthew 25:35-36 “For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.”
